Warden Training - Operate as part of emergency control organisation

What does this course involve? 

Fire wardens have taken on the responsibility of controlling the movements of occupants in a facility to an evacuation assembly area or otherwise under the guidance of a Chief Warden.

What will I learn?

You will learn the structure and importance of an Emergency Control Organisation and how to conduct pre-emergency planning. Wardens also play a crucial role in bringing together an emergency response by identifying and responding to emergency warnings and advice, choosing the most appropriate course of action, and supporting post emergency activities. 

How will I learn?

We don’t want you to leave the course with just an understanding of the theory, but to show us in a simulation environment how you can apply your learnings. Chief Warden Training - Lead an emergency control organisation

What does this course involve? 

This course builds on knowledge gained in our Warden Training (a required pre-requisite) for leaders of an Emergency Control Organisation. A Chief Warden is responsible for managing an onsite emergency, a role suitable to facility leaders  including Chief and Deputy Chief Wardens, Safety Managers, Building Managers, Evacuation Officers and other emergency responders. 

What will I learn?

You will learn how to lead an Emergency Control Organisation, oversee other members of the Emergency Control Organisation (Floor Wardens, First Aid Officers, Communications Officers), and interface directly with emergency services (such as Fire, Police and Ambulance). 

How will I learn?

This course involves a theory element, practical element and simulation training. We don’t want you to leave the course with just an understanding of the theory, but to show us in a simulation environment how you can apply your learnings.
