Facility Emergency Plans
Safety 101 can develop a customised facility emergency plan for your business from as little as $300 + GST.
Under the Australian Standard AS3745 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities, all facilities are required to have a written Facility Emergency Plan which includes detailed procedural documents that instruct how to manage emergencies in the facility.
Your Facility Emergency Plan will include:
Emergency Prevention;
Emergency Preparedness;
Emergency Mitigation;
Training arrangements;
Control of emergency response; and
Roles and responsibilities of Emergency Control Organisation members.
Facility Emergency Plans must be updated on an annual basis.
Safety 101 specialise in developing and reviewing these plans to meet your individual facility requirements.
Evacuation Diagrams
Safety 101 can develop fully compliant evacuation diagrams for your facility from just $500 + GST.
Evacuation diagrams are vital to show fire and evacuation information to facility occupants and visitors. To maintain compliance with Australian Standard AS3745, evacuation diagrams must meet the following criteria:
Be visible to all occupants and visitors;
Include the title “EVACUATION DIAGRAM”;
Display the facility address;
Be mounted between 1200mm and 1600mm above ground level;
Display emergency evacuation paths to a safe assembly area;
Show locations of all emergency resources including fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire blankets, manual call points and fire indicator panels;
Be orientated relevant to the path of egress; and
Be updated every 5 years.
Safety 101 can develop fully compliant evacuation diagrams for your facility in as little as 10 business days.
Emergency Drill Simulation
Safety 101 can come to your site to conduct a fire evacuation drill for your organisation. It is a requirement of Australian Standard 3745 for every business to conduct a trial evacuation “fire drill” at least once every 12 months.
With this package Safety 101 will:
Attend your site;
Review your emergency procedures; and
Coordinate a simulated emergency and trial evacuation of your facility.
You should have as many people as possible partake in the evacuation practice. The more personnel practice the more confident they will be if a real emergency arises.
Safety 101 will set clear objectives and outcomes, then conduct a full debrief with the Emergency Control Organisation following the drill. We also provide a written report of the drill with any recommendations.
WHS Manuals
Safety 101 offers complete and customised WHS manuals for your facility from $600 + GST.
Work health and safety (WHS) – sometimes called occupational health and safety (OH&S) – involves the management of risks to the health and safety of everyone in your workplace. This includes the health and safety of anyone who does work for you as well as your customers, visitors and suppliers.
It may initially cost money and time to implement safe practices and install safety equipment but is critical to the success of your business.
You must put health and safety practices in place and maintain them. Under Australian WHS laws your business must ensure the health and safety of your workers and not put the health and safety of other people at risk. To do this, your management systems must be documented, including how you intend to:
Provide a safe work environment;
Provide and maintain safe machinery and structures;
Provide safe ways of working;
Ensure safe use, handling and storage of machinery, structures and substances;
Provide and maintain adequate facilities;
Provide any information, training, instruction or supervision needed for safety; and
Monitor the health of workers and conditions at the workplace.

Fire Safety Checks and WHS Risk Assessments
Not sure what you should be looking out for to ensure your facility is “fire safe”? Our fire safety experts can visit your site and assist you in developing a checklist of items you should be inspecting on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to ensure you are prepared for an emergency in your facility.
We can also develop checklists for your ECO (warden team) so they all have an easy to use guide of what actions they should be taking during an emergency and ensure nothing gets missed.
Meeting conditions on a Fire Engineering Report
A Fire Engineering Report must be obtained for development approval in most construction projects. The report will contain specialist test evidence and fire modelling, as well as recommendations for the formulated fire safety design solution for the building.
Our expert team can help you interpret and comply with the conditions outlined in a Fire Engineering Report.
